Welcome to the Scottish Rite Youth Wind Ensemble Website. Our Mission is to enhance the instrumental musical talent of the St. Louis community youth by providing high quality ensemble performance opportunities, and to serve as a community resource, offering education, performances, music history, and outreach to schools and the community by introducing new audiences of adults and children to concert band music in the Scottish Rite Cathedral a historic and architecturally significant building; its auditorium having a national reputation for its size, beauty and acoustics . To advance the education of serious music students who desire to continue the music studies beyond high school.
